Little Moments Vessel 11
Little Moments Vessel 11
This small hand built porcelain piece came back from Onishi Japan with me. It is part of a series of works I created while at the Shiro Oni Studios. This special porcelain is specifically from the region and then was fired over a weeklong process in a Anagama kiln. The colors and textures that come through on the clay are natural occurring glaze from the ash from the fire within the kiln. These unique ceramics reflect my experience as well as the atmosphere while in Onishi Japan. This piece measures roughly 2.5 inches tall by 3 inches wide.
All pieces are food stable, and I recommend handwashing to preserve the integrity of the piece over time. Due to the nature of the ANAGAMA Kiln firing and Japanese clays the ceramics hold more moisture and may sweat a bit. These pieces are best as objects or with dried flowers. If filling with water place on a water proof surface.
